November 1-5, 2017

Fort Lauderdale, the "Yachting Capital of the World" will host the 58th Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show on November 1-5, 2017.

Show exhibitors include talented yacht designers, builders and brokers of some of the most beautiful watercraft on the seven seas.  A wide variety of boats will be on display, from runabouts to extraordinary superyachts. There is something for everyone who wants to be on the water, and if not, there are exotic cars on display, too.

With the best deep-water canals on the eastern seaboard, an International Airport, an Executive Airport capable of hosting private jet aircraft, excellent hospitals and health services and a relaxed, yet cosmopolitan atmosphere, Fort Lauderdale offers the complete package for those seeking the boating lifestyle.

FORT LAUDERDALE – THE VENICE OF AMERICA

Some of the watercraft on display include runabouts, sportfishers, high performance boats, center consoles, cabin cruisers, flats boats, skiffs, express cruisers, sailing yachts, motor yachts, bowriders, catamarans, ski boats, jet boats, trawlers, inflatables, canoes, and of course, a fabulous collection of extraordinary superyachts.

NEW -- FOREIGN TRADE ZONE

There will be a Foreign Trade Zone established at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.

The Marine Industry Association of South Florida (MIASF), working with the US Customs and Border Protection Service, The City of Fort Lauderdale, the US Department of Commerce, the US Immigration Services and key industry players, will administer the operation of an FTZ subzone.

Owners of yachts that were once off-limits to prospective US buyers can now show them from the FTZ, helping both the buyer and the seller.  Activities like marketing, showing, sea trials and survey can be carried out on foreign-flagged vessels within the designated FTZ.

Operating out of the Bahia Mar Marina, exhibitors of foreign-flagged yachts will be able to show them to US clients without having to pre-pay a 1.5% import duty or post a show bond.

In addition, all imported parts employed in refit can defer their duties while the yacht is in the zone, and, once a project is complete, the vessel can depart the US without being required to pay duties or taxes.
