Kicking off the Holiday Season, American National Bank President and CEO, Ginger Martin, hosted the local charities, 4KIDS and HOPE South Florida, for a cocktail hour to raise awareness of the crucial help needed to support kids in crisis and homeless parents who find themselves without homes due to divorce, abuse or neglect.

Don't let Ginger Martin's professional banker persona fool you. Martin is a powerhouse of energy and compassion, possessing a unique talent for spreading enthusiasm for whatever captures her heart. 4KIDS and HOPE South Florida have done just that. Ginger is doing her share towards seeing every child in need find a home and every homeless family find shelter.

    You may have seen the billboards constructed by the Las Olas City Marina announcing “Keeping Boats Afloat in Fort Lauderdale”. This is part of the City’s Ensuing Safe Passage in Our Waterways project and is good news for the boating community in South Florida. The City is spending over $1.2 million to clean up and dredge city canals and waterways to increase depth and remove shallow spots all throughout the Intracoastal. This allows for greater use of the entire waterway and make it easier for boaters to get into the canals and behind their property.


This project is expected to continue for the next 11 months and be finished August 2015. I will keep you updated with news and announcements regarding this project as it progresses.
